Our board of certified physicians strive to provide the highest quality of healthcare services to our patients and community.

Our History

Low Country Rheumatology (LCR) was established in 1987, by Dr. Gary Fink in North Charleston, South Carolina, with the mission to serve and treat patients with rheumatic conditions with the highest quality of care. Dr. Gregory Niemer joined Dr. Fink in 2000, and shortly after the practice expanded further, merging with another local practice in 2001. Dr. William Edwards and Dr. Clarence Legerton accompanied the merge, along with several staff members and an established Research Department.

Since then LCR has continued to evolve to meet the needs of the local community with the addition of physicians and the establishment of satellite offices. Doctors Jennifer Murphy, Colin Edgerton, and Nicholas Holdgate joined the LCR family in 2011, 2013, and 2016, respectively. With the continued growth of the Charleston area, satellite offices have been established in Mount Pleasant (2011) and West Ashley (2017) to provide patients with a convenient location to receive necessary rheumatologic care.

LCR is a member of Articularis Healthcare, Inc., an organization composed of a network of community-based rheumatology practices currently located throughout South Carolina and Georgia.
