Allison Plaster, FNP-C
Allison was born and raised outside of Atlanta, Georgia. In 2010, she graduated summa cum laude from Georgia Southern University with a Bachelors degree in early childhood education. After graduation, she moved to Tennessee where she began teaching kindergarten. She was also volunteering at St Jude Children’s Hospital through her church. During her time at St Jude, she decided to pursue a career in nursing.
In 2013, her husband’s job transferred their family to Birmingham, Alabama where she went on to obtain both her bachelor’s and her master’s degrees from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, each time graduating summa cum laude. Upon completion of her nursing degree, she worked at UAB hospital on the Bone Marrow Transplant/Medical ICU floor. After graduating as a Family Nurse Practitioner, she joined a private Rheumatology practice outside of Birmingham, AL. She has been working in Rheumatology since 2016.
Allison is a member of AANP (American Association of Nurse Practitioners), RNS (Rheumatology Nurses Society), and RhAPP (Rheumatology Advanced Practice Providers).
