Amber Ferguson, a Charleston native, joined Low Country Rheumatology ‘s clinical team in 2025. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Charleston Southern University and has over a decade of experience as a Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN). Amber also brings six years of experience from a primary care active-duty military clinic. She pursued her graduate degree as a nurse practitioner from the University of South Alabama, where she graduated with honors. 

She is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and the American College of Rheumatology/Association of Rheumatology Professionals (ACR/ARP).

Over her career, Amber has developed expertise in managing both acute and chronic conditions, invaluable to her rheumatology practice. Amber’s ability to assess, diagnose, and manage complex cases in diverse care settings has made her a versatile and well-rounded clinician, capable of adapting to a wide range of medical challenges.

Outside of her career, Amber enjoys family time with her husband and two children. She can often be found on the sidelines of soccer fields and wrestling mats cheering on her sons. To relax, Amber enjoys reading and boating in the beautiful Charleston area.
